POPI Notice and PAIA Manual – PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

EDGE LIGHTING SOLUTIONS (Pty) Ltd affirms the following commitments:

1. We shall not disclose or make available Personal Information to any third party, except as required by law or to authorized staff or sub-contractors strictly for fulfilling their obligations pursuant to our responsibilities.
2. We will ensure that all personnel, including employees, agents, subsidiaries, representatives, and subcontractors, who have access to Personal Information, are bound by appropriate and legally binding confidentiality and non-use obligations concerning such information.
3. We will abide by the provisions of the Protection of Personal Information Act, Act 4 of 2013, and any other relevant privacy and data protection legislation governing the collection, use, and processing of Personal Information.
4. Our actions regarding the collection, processing, and utilization of Personal Information will solely be based on your instructions.
5. Personal Information will not be processed for any purpose other than fulfilling our obligations to you, ensuring compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, Act 4 of 2013, and other privacy and data protection laws or stated requirements.
6. We will implement appropriate, reasonable technical, and organizational measures to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of Personal Information in our possession or under our control, protecting it against accidental loss, destruction, damage, unlawful access, or processing.
7. In case of potential breaches of applicable data protection legislation, the terms of our agreement, or other irregularities concerning Personal Information by ourselves, our staff, or any party acting on our behalf, we will promptly notify you.
8. Personal Information will be returned or destroyed once it is no longer necessary for the purpose of fulfilling our obligations to you or any directly related purpose, unless required by law to retain it for a longer duration.
9. Transfer of Personal Information across borders will only occur with your prior written consent, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
